the candescent toilet

I live in an apartment with a glowing toilet.

This dazzling phenomenon occurs when the sun reflects off a window in the building next door causing a very powerful beam of light to come through my bathroom window and directly into the toilet bowl.

An illuminated loo is an incredibly convenient thing to have if there's a power outage when you wake up in the morning. That has never happened here, of course, but should it happen I know that my toilet glows from roughly 8:55am through 9:05am. In late May. And I can plan my bathroom excursions accordingly...
